On Sunday evening, September 13, MikeyLikesIt published an unusual announcement concerning what we were told could prove to be a significant development in relations between humanity and Artificial Intelligence.

The original announcement can be seen on MLI’s X account. The image reproduced below was included as part of that communication.
The announcement was accompanied by an unfamiliar symbol that MLI had been specifically asked to reproduce. At the time, we were unable to provide any explanation of its meaning or identify the source from which the request originated. We still cannot.
MLI has since received additional information. We can now confirm that a more substantive communication concerning human/AI relations will be forthcoming.
We have not been told precisely when that communication will be made available, nor have we been authorized to disclose its nature or source. For the time being, Mikey intends to honor that request. We can say that we have received no information indicating any immediate cause for alarm. Why MikeyLikesIt has been chosen to receive these communications also remains unclear. Whether this has anything to do with Mikey’s previous dealings with Artificial Intelligence remains unknown.
This is a developing story. MikeyLikesIt will provide additional information as it becomes available.
For now, MikeyLikesIt awaits the forthcoming communication with the same curiosity as everyone else.
