When you can’t beat them, and absolutely refuse to join them… Laugh at them! If the “event” in 2020 taught us anything, especially in light of recent congressional testimonial avoidance, it is this: ALWAYS question the Psy-ence!
Science and Psy-ence—one real, the other something else entirely—are two distinctly different things.
How do we spot the difference?
Science stands on its own and will either fail or prevail based upon metaphysics—it is simply the systematic study of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation and testing.
Psy-ence, on the other mischievous hand, falls into the realm of agendas, and shrewdly attempts to mimic science. But, rather than using facts as its foundation, Psy-ence insists to be respected based solely upon beliefs—trust the Psy-ence, for example.
—Psy-ence makes unusual and even ridiculous demands.
The virus attacks only when walking so wearing a mask is a must, but when seated at a
restaurant we are safe and so a mask is not required.
—Psy-ence insists everyone obeys it.
Lock-step and Groupthink are a few of the tools employed.
—Psy-ence requires heavy promotion.
Politicians, the media and even celebrities are used to bolster its status, giving it the air of
being fact-based.
—Psy-ence introduces a plethora of often absurd new terminologies or repackages existing words
of art to suit its needs.
Shelter in place, lockdown (borrowed from prison life), stay safe (that is always heard in
Mikey’s mind with a heavy lisp), the 6-foot rule and many others ad nauseam.
—Dr. Fauci is Psy-ence!
This statement is actually correct if the proper spelling is used—Psy-ence is a term Mikey
coined in 2020.

When You Can’t Beat Them…
The only way for the average man or woman to battle such a fortress of absurdities—”My name is legion, for we are many”—is to laugh emphatically in its face. Pointing out all of the inconsistencies with hard-hitting comedy may be the most clever way to overcome a vertically challenged soapbox. One of the best examples Mikey has come across is the above video, which was created as an entry for a video contest at the now-defunct Infowars.com. That brings to mind another cultural oddity. Alex Jones‘ website Infowars effectively disappeared following enormous legal judgments against him, while some officials whose public guidance shaped hundreds of millions of lives are now invoking the Fifth Amendment before Congress as their own actions come under scrutiny.

Make it make sense? Sorry, it just doesn’t. What can we do? Laugh. If you can watch the above video and not laugh, you were either a victim of these crimes or you were in on it—Mikey is sincerely sorry that so many people suffered in this “event.” This is not to point the finger at Psy-ence itself as the culprit, but rather at those who crafted the Psy-ence and knowingly foisted it upon society.
Oddly enough, when we laugh in the face of tragedy, positive things can often result. One such thing that has evolved from this post is the “Hall of Hilarity” which will soon be unveiled at MikeyLikesIt.com to honor instances of great comedy such as the one above. When You Can’t Beat Them…
